WPW10122559 - Genuine OEM Whirlpool Refrigerator Ice Maker

WPW10122559 – Genuine OEM Whirlpool Refrigerator Ice Maker Assembly

The WPW10122559 Genuine OEM Whirlpool Refrigerator Ice Maker Assembly is an original equipment manufacturer replacement part designed for compatible refrigerators. This complete assembly includes the ice maker and housing and automatically produces ice cubes by filling the mould with water, freezing the water, and ejecting the finished cubes into the ice storage compartment.

If your refrigerator has stopped making ice or produces ice inconsistently, replacing a defective ice maker assembly may restore normal ice production. Appliance Kingdom serves homeowners, landlords, and appliance repair technicians across Canada with appliance replacement parts and convenient shipping options.

Function & Importance

The refrigerator ice maker assembly manages the automatic ice-making process. It receives water from the refrigerator's water inlet system, freezes the water in the ice mould, ejects the completed cubes, and prepares for the next production cycle.

Using a genuine Whirlpool OEM assembly helps maintain the intended fit, electrical connections, and operation of your refrigerator. Replacing a failed ice maker can restore ice production without replacing the entire appliance, provided the ice maker itself is responsible for the problem.

Common Symptoms Indicating Replacement

A faulty ice maker assembly may cause the following issues:

• Refrigerator stops producing ice.

• Ice production becomes intermittent or stops completely.

• Ice cubes are not ejected properly.

• The ice maker makes unusual noises during operation.

• Water leaks around the ice maker assembly.

These symptoms can also result from a blocked water supply, a defective water inlet valve, an incorrect freezer temperature, or another faulty component. Proper diagnosis helps prevent replacing a functioning part unnecessarily.

Compatibility Guidance

WPW10122559 is a refrigerator ice maker assembly used in select Whirlpool refrigerators and compatible models from certain related brands, including KitchenAid and Maytag.

Always check your refrigerator's complete model number against an authoritative parts catalogue before ordering. Similar-looking ice makers can have different dimensions, electrical connectors, and mounting arrangements, so brand name alone is not enough to establish compatibility.
