WP63052-2 – Genuine OEM Whirlpool Refrigerator Impeller

The WP63052-2 Genuine OEM Whirlpool Refrigerator Impeller, also known as an ice dispenser engagement yoke or auger drive coupler, connects the refrigerator's ice dispenser drive mechanism to the ice container auger. This component helps transfer rotational force so the auger can move ice towards the dispenser. It is a genuine Whirlpool OEM replacement part designed for compatible refrigerator ice dispensing systems.

If your refrigerator produces ice but does not dispense it properly, replacing a damaged or worn WP63052-2 component may restore normal ice dispensing when this part is the cause. Appliance Kingdom serves customers across Canada with appliance replacement parts and convenient shipping options. Verify your refrigerator's model number before ordering.

Function & Importance

The WP63052-2 connects the ice dispenser drive mechanism to the auger in the ice storage container. When the dispenser is activated, this connection helps the auger rotate and move ice towards the dispensing outlet.

A correctly functioning coupler is important for reliable ice dispensing. A worn, cracked, or damaged component can interrupt the transfer of motion, preventing the dispenser from delivering ice even when the ice maker is producing it normally. Using a genuine OEM replacement helps maintain the intended fit and operation of the dispenser mechanism.

Common Symptoms Indicating Replacement

A faulty ice dispenser engagement yoke or auger drive coupler may cause the following problems:

  • The refrigerator produces ice, but the dispenser does not dispense it.

  • The ice dispenser operates inconsistently.

  • The auger drive fails to engage the ice container properly.

  • The dispenser motor runs, but the ice does not move towards the outlet.

These symptoms can also result from a faulty dispenser motor, a jammed auger, a frozen ice container, or a problem with the dispenser control system.

Will Replacing This Part Fix My Problem?

Replacing WP63052-2 can resolve ice dispensing problems when the engagement yoke or coupler is damaged or worn. If the underlying issue involves another dispenser component, further diagnosis may be necessary.
