W11459354 - Genuine OEM Whirlpool Refrigerator Evaporator Assembly

W11459354 - Genuine OEM Whirlpool Refrigerator Evaporator Assembly

The W11459354 Genuine OEM Whirlpool Refrigerator Evaporator Assembly is an original Whirlpool replacement component designed for compatible refrigerators. The evaporator is a heat exchanger within the sealed refrigeration system that absorbs heat to help cool the refrigerator. Whirlpool identifies W11459354 as an OEM evaporator, and AMRE Supply confirms it as a Whirlpool Genuine OEM refrigerator evaporator.

This replacement evaporator is suitable for compatible Whirlpool-family refrigerator applications and is available through Appliance Kingdom for customers across Canada. When an evaporator has developed a leak, restriction, or other failure affecting refrigeration performance, replacing the defective assembly can help restore proper cooling when the evaporator has been correctly diagnosed as the cause.

Function & Importance of the Evaporator Assembly

The evaporator is a critical component of the refrigerator's sealed refrigeration system. It functions as a heat exchanger, absorbing heat from inside the refrigerator so the refrigeration system can produce the cold temperatures required for food storage.

Because the evaporator operates as part of the sealed refrigerant system, using the correct OEM component is important. The replacement must match the refrigerator's intended refrigeration-system design, connections, dimensions, and operating requirements.

A damaged or leaking evaporator can reduce the refrigerator's ability to remove heat. Depending on the failure, the appliance may struggle to maintain the correct temperature, run for extended periods, or develop abnormal frost conditions.

Common Symptoms of a Failed Refrigerator Evaporator

A defective evaporator can be associated with several refrigerator cooling problems, including:

• Refrigerator is too warm

• Freezer is too warm

• Refrigerator is too cold

• Freezer is too cold

• Refrigerator runs for an unusually long time

• Refrigerator will not start or cool normally

• Abnormal frost buildup

• Reduced overall cooling performance

AMRE Supply specifically lists these symptoms among possible repair conditions associated with W11459354, while noting that other refrigerator components can produce similar symptoms.

Will Replacing W11459354 Fix My Refrigerator?

Replacing W11459354 can restore cooling performance when the evaporator is confirmed to be the failed component.

However, temperature problems and frost buildup can also result from other parts of the refrigerator's cooling system. Proper diagnosis is therefore important before ordering an evaporator assembly.

If a technician has confirmed an evaporator leak or another evaporator-related failure, W11459354 is the genuine OEM replacement part to use when the appliance's model-specific parts information calls for it.

Compatibility & Ordering Guidance

W11459354 is a refrigerator evaporator assembly used across a range of compatible Whirlpool-family appliance applications. AMRE Supply lists the part for Whirlpool and several related appliance brands, including Roper, Admiral, Maytag, Jenn-Air, Estate, Amana, Kenmore, KitchenAid, Crosley and Inglis.

Always verify your complete refrigerator model number before ordering. Compatibility can vary between models and production configurations, even when refrigerators appear similar.

For additional confidence, provide your complete appliance model number to Appliance Kingdom so compatibility can be checked before purchase.

Installation Overview

Replacing a refrigerator evaporator is an advanced appliance repair and is not generally recommended as a basic DIY project.

The evaporator is part of the sealed refrigeration system. Replacing it requires recovering refrigerant, accessing the sealed system, installing the replacement component, evacuating the system and recharging it with the appropriate refrigerant according to the manufacturer's service requirements. Sears PartsDirect specifically recommends that a service technician perform this repair because it involves recovering and recharging refrigerant in the sealed system.

Professional installation by a qualified refrigerator or refrigeration technician is strongly recommended.
