W11457263 - Genuine OEM Whirlpool Refrigerator Evaporator Assembly

The W11457263 Genuine OEM Whirlpool Refrigerator Evaporator Assembly is an original Whirlpool replacement component designed for compatible Whirlpool refrigerators. The evaporator is a critical part of the refrigerator's cooling system, helping absorb heat from inside the refrigerator so the appliance can maintain the required cold temperature.

W11457263 is identified as a genuine OEM Whirlpool refrigerator evaporator assembly by Canadian appliance-parts suppliers including Reliable Parts and AMRE Supply.

Appliance Kingdom supplies genuine OEM and quality appliance replacement parts across Canada, with Canada-wide shipping for homeowners, landlords, property managers, and professional appliance technicians.

What Does the W11457263 Evaporator Assembly Do?

The evaporator is part of the refrigerator's sealed refrigeration system. Refrigerant passes through the evaporator, allowing the component to absorb heat from the refrigerator compartment and contribute to the cooling process.

A properly functioning evaporator is essential for maintaining the refrigerator's cooling performance. If the evaporator is damaged, leaking, restricted, or otherwise unable to operate correctly, the refrigerator may struggle to remove heat and maintain the expected temperature.

Because the evaporator works as part of a sealed refrigeration system, using the correct OEM component is important. The replacement must match the refrigerator's intended specifications and physical configuration for proper installation and reliable operation.

Common Symptoms of a Refrigerator Evaporator Problem

A damaged or defective evaporator assembly can be associated with refrigerator cooling problems such as:

• Refrigerator is not cooling properly

• Refrigerator temperature is higher than the selected setting

• Freezer or refrigerator compartment is not reaching the expected temperature

• Refrigerator runs for extended periods while struggling to cool

• Cooling performance gradually decreases

• Evidence of a refrigerant leak or sealed-system problem

• Frost or ice accumulation that is inconsistent with normal operation

These symptoms can also be caused by other refrigerator components, including the compressor, condenser system, evaporator fan, defrost system, controls, or a refrigerant-related issue. Proper diagnosis is therefore important before replacing the evaporator assembly.

Will Replacing W11457263 Fix My Refrigerator?

Replacing W11457263 can restore cooling performance when the evaporator assembly itself has been confirmed as the source of the refrigerator's cooling problem.

An evaporator replacement should not be used as a guess based solely on symptoms such as a warm refrigerator or long run times. A qualified technician should diagnose the refrigeration system and determine whether the evaporator requires replacement before ordering the part.

Because evaporator replacement involves the refrigerator's sealed refrigeration system, professional diagnosis and installation are strongly recommended.

Installation Overview

Replacing a refrigerator evaporator assembly is a complex appliance repair and is generally not recommended as a basic DIY repair.

The evaporator is part of the sealed refrigeration system. Installation can require refrigerant recovery, system evacuation, leak testing, proper tubing connections, and refrigerant charging using appropriate professional equipment and procedures.

For this reason, professional appliance or refrigeration technician installation is strongly recommended.

Always disconnect electrical power and follow appropriate manufacturer and service procedures before servicing the refrigerator.
