Function & Importance of the Part

The AJP72913804 vegetable tray assembly functions as a refrigerator crisper drawer for storing fresh produce. The drawer provides a dedicated storage area within the refrigerator and helps keep fruits and vegetables organised and separated from other refrigerated items. LG parts information also describes this component as a left crisper or fresh vegetable drawer.

Using the correct OEM refrigerator drawer is important because dimensions, mounting points, drawer guides, and cabinet clearances can vary between refrigerator models. A correctly matched replacement helps ensure proper fit, smooth operation, and reliable everyday use.

Common Symptoms Indicating Replacement

A replacement vegetable tray assembly may be needed when the original refrigerator drawer is:

• Cracked or broken
• Missing
• Damaged from normal use
• Difficult to use because of physical damage
• No longer providing a suitable storage area for fresh produce

LG Canada Parts specifically identifies a cracked or missing drawer as a possible repair situation for AJP72913804.

If your LG refrigerator has a damaged or missing left crisper drawer and the model-specific parts information calls for AJP72913804, replacing the drawer assembly can restore the intended storage function.

Will Replacing This Part Fix My Refrigerator Issue?

If the problem is a cracked, broken, damaged, or missing vegetable/crisper drawer, replacing the drawer assembly can resolve that specific issue. It will not correct unrelated refrigerator problems such as cooling, temperature-control, ice-making, or electrical faults.

Installation Overview

Replacing a refrigerator vegetable tray is generally a straightforward physical replacement and normally does not require electrical, gas, or water connections.

Installation typically involves removing the damaged drawer and positioning the replacement drawer correctly on the refrigerator's existing drawer guides or support system. Follow the refrigerator manufacturer's instructions and avoid forcing the drawer if it does not slide into position correctly.

Professional installation is generally not required for a simple drawer replacement. If the drawer guides, rails, frame, or other surrounding components are damaged, additional parts may be required.
