5305877995 – Genuine OEM Frigidaire Refrigerator Ice Maker Permagum Sealing Strip

The 5305877995 Genuine OEM Frigidaire Refrigerator Ice Maker Permagum Sealing Strip is a refrigerator replacement component intended for sealing around the ice maker area in compatible Frigidaire appliances. This sealing material helps close gaps and maintain an appropriate seal around the intended installation area.

If you are replacing a deteriorated, displaced, or damaged sealing strip, this genuine OEM part can help restore the original sealing arrangement when the strip is the source of the problem. Appliance Kingdom serves customers across Canada with appliance replacement parts. Confirm your refrigerator's model number and part compatibility before ordering.

Function & Importance

The Permagum sealing strip provides sealing material around the designated ice maker area. A correctly installed seal helps close unwanted gaps and supports the intended operation of the refrigerator's ice maker compartment.

Using the correct OEM sealing material is important because the part must suit the intended application and installation location. A damaged or missing seal can contribute to unwanted air movement or moisture around the affected area, depending on the refrigerator's design.

Common Symptoms Indicating Replacement

Inspect the existing sealing strip if you notice:

• The original sealing material is cracked, hardened, deteriorated, or displaced.

• Visible gaps remain around the ice maker installation area.

• The sealing material no longer stays securely in its intended position.

• Air leakage or moisture is noticeable around the affected area.

These symptoms do not necessarily indicate a defective sealing strip. Inspect the surrounding components and identify the source of the problem before replacing parts.

Compatibility Guidance

This part is identified as a Frigidaire refrigerator ice maker Permagum sealing strip. Exact compatibility depends on the refrigerator's model and ice maker configuration.

Check the complete model number on your refrigerator's identification label against an authoritative parts catalogue before purchasing. Do not assume that the part fits every Frigidaire refrigerator or every Frigidaire ice maker.

Key Features & Benefits

• Genuine OEM Frigidaire replacement part.

• Permagum sealing material intended for the designated ice maker application.

• Helps restore the original seal when existing material is damaged or missing.

• A targeted replacement for the sealing material rather than an entire ice maker assembly.

• Suitable for homeowners, landlords, and professional appliance repair technicians.

Installation Overview

Installation difficulty depends on the refrigerator model and the location of the sealing strip. Access may require removing or repositioning the ice maker or nearby components.

Disconnect electrical power before working on the refrigerator and follow the manufacturer's service instructions. If the ice maker is connected to a water supply or requires electrical connections to be disturbed, shut off the water supply where appropriate and consider professional installation if you are unfamiliar with the repair.
